Capricorn On Eight House Cusp

Capricorn On Eight House Cusp

Capricorn On Eight House Cusp

Capricorn in 8th House – Capricorn on the cusp of the Eighth House

You likely strive to be the authority figure in matters of financial, material, and physical resources you share with others. That…or you may like to be the submissive one to someone of power, authority, or higher status and you may prefer that person take the reins when it comes to resource issues.

However, it is important for you to distinguish the difference between having the authority to call the shots and giving one’s power away to someone else entirely. Be aware of your tendency to do one or the other – either giving your power away to someone else by allowing them to control or manipulate you physically, financially, or materially, or you overpowering someone else by controlling or manipulating them through those means.

Since the natural ruler of Capricorn is Saturn, it could make for a very serious approach on the part of the Capricorn of a very serious Search for Truth. Now truth can be any discipline which has the essence of truth involved. Capricorn on the cusp of the eighth house might more than likely tend to be dogmatic in its approach to truth, seeking more the religious approach rather than a broad perspective of truth which is involved in all knowledge and in all disciplines.

Here too this involvement of Capricorn would be demonstrated through participating in group activities, whether it be a church activity or a school which is teaching various approaches to the understanding of life. It is through participating in the activities of the eighth house that Capricorn could function on its highest octave.

Actually, Capricorn and Scorpio, the natural ruler of the eighth house, are almost antithetic in their qualities. Scorpio is bold, Capricorn is timid. Scorpio will go to the depths or the heights to achieve their understanding and union; Capricorn is more concerned with security than with that kind of depthful boldness.

The combination, therefore, with Capricorn on the cusp of the eighth house, does give the Capricorn the ability to “get outside of himself,” so to speak, to take on more of the outgoing qualities which will bring him more satisfaction in his Search for Truth. Also, in this Search for Truth, the location of Capricorn on the cusp of the eighth house would increase the spiritual values that the Capricorn can find as a means of security in life.

Saturn rules karma and the responsibilities that we have in this life, from the viewpoint of reincarnation, and it is the natural ruler of Capricorn, it causes the Capricorn to be very aware of the cause and effect of all of its actions, its thoughts and its deeds.

While there surely will be involvement in some search for Truth, by direct reaction to the second house, Capricorn on the cusp of the eighth house could bring a higher degree of self-awareness as it relates to all of life. In Capricorn there can be a persistence or persistent quality in seeking and studying the “mysteries” of life, which some of the other signs lack.
