Capricorn in 4th House – Capricorn on the cusp of the Fourth House

The foundation of your personal-private persona and your personal life is your ability to achieve your goals and ambitions, and to have something tangible to show for them. You probably work hard in order to achieve success and status and with it, to experience the fulfillment of being able to care for yourself and your loved ones. Your desired lifestyle likely has one goal – to make sure you and those you consider to be “family” need not struggle or suffer for anything. As long as you and your loved ones are provided for and protected, you feel safe and emotionally fulfilled.

This location of Capricorn is directly opposite the tenth house, of which Capricorn is the natural ruler, so it is a great challenge for the Capricorn sign. Capricorn in this location must learn the value and the necessity and the responsibility of helping others to find meaning and direction and purpose to life. Again, the fencing-in quality of the Capricorn actually denies to others the energy, intelligence and understanding that can be so meaningful to the lives of others. In many ways, a Capricorn has an inferiority complex, and this could be one of the reasons why Capricorn does not get too involved in the lives of others.

Now this is the beginning of the second quartile and emphasizes again the necessity of the Capricorn sign to get involved in life to project itself into the daily affairs, daily encounters with people, places, and events. Actually, though it doesn’t often appear externally, emotionality is central to a Capricorn, as it is to a Cancer person. The Cancer person will more easily express it, but the Capricorn person should realize that his emotionality is a part of his projection to other people, and actually is as evident to them as if he were expressing it directly. Therefore, the quality of these emotions should be directed toward the level of compassion, rather than earthy, emotional involvement, so that he influences others in a constructive manner.

The fact too that Capricorn on the cusp of the fourth house is in its opposite sign (Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn) and does assist the Capricorn in incorporating or including the feeling aspect in a more obvious outward expression in the actual home environment, as well as the personal environment which the Capricorn carries around through its form and personality. There is an austerity involved there. This austerity can easily be the reason for the lack of involvements and the fencing in.
