June 2017 Monthly Horoscope

Welcome to the June Horoscope 2017 For All Zodiac Signs!

Theme of the Month:

Your thoughts and words really do have the power to create your life .

The Gemini Month has arrived, and along with it, the focus shifts from our basic survival needs to our ideas, thoughts, and communications – the stuff that creates our reality.

gemini

Inside each of us is a pair of twins that longs for reunion. This Gemini month offers you the chance to bring yourself into wholeness. Some of this entails getting rid of black and white thinking. Such polarities keep you divided. Experimenting with paradoxical ideas can play a role in getting you out of the trap of boiling Life down to either one thing or another…’cuz likely it’s both things at the same time.

Gemini zodiac sign is ruled by or associated with the planet Mercury. Mercury is known for a few qualities – wit and intellect, mental and verbal energy, quickness and agility (of both mind and body). It is also associated with youth and early education, and considered the sign of the “student path”.

Eager to learn and impatient to know and understand, Gemini is known as the “Peter Pan” of the zodiac. If you really think of the story of Peter Pan, you recognize the story is about the eternal spirit of youth, the beauty of innocence and child-like wonder with all things around us, and the powerful belief that you can create reality out of your thoughts and words. It may remind you that your life experience is whatever you choose it to be; it is whatever you choose to think, say, and take action for it to be.

But how can that be? How can our ideas, thoughts, and words really create our reality?

The act of creation is first an idea – an inspiration, a moment of recognition. Then, if we choose to acknowledge it and hold it for a few moments longer, it becomes a thought. Once it is a thought, we then have a choice to as to whether or not we take action(s) to manifest it. That action may be physical action, or we may formulate words to communicate it to others through written or spoken language, or both. Then once we have acted and/or communicated in alignment with our thought, we’ve put that energy out into the world and given others the power to share in its manifestation. It has the opportunity to become real once we have allowed it to be revealed and released through action and communication.

That said, there is much to be learned from our thinking, saying, and acting upon our creative energy. There is knowledge to be gained, and it is important that we pay attention to how we learn what we know. It is important that we recognize that we learn what we learn and know what we know through the choices we make, the actions we take, and the ways we communicate.

For example, let’s say I get an idea to bake a cake, if I think about baking a cake, then I begin to think about how I’ll go about baking that cake. Now if I think to myself, “I’m not good at baking”, then I may stop there and not even take another step forward in the process. But if I choose to move forward, I may choose to learn how (or teach myself how) to bake and I may look up a recipe for baking a cake from scratch and buy the ingredients. That, or if I’m still thinking, “I’m not good at baking”, I may go to the store and buy a box of cake mix to make it easier to bake a cake…or I may give up altogether on baking it myself and go to the bakery section and order a cake.

It would be as easy to choose to learn how to bake a cake from scratch as it would be to choose to order a cake from the bakery. The choice is easy – the choice is not about the action – it’s about the thoughts we have about the actions and the choices we make as result of those thoughts. (If I thought it was too hard to try, I wouldn’t have chosen to learn how to bake a cake from scratch. If I had wanted the time and energy to do other things more important to me, I may have chosen to pay the money to have the bakery bake it.)

It’s the same thing with our words. Once we choose to speak something, once we’ve written something and shared it with the world, we can’t take it back. Its energy is out there in the world. Others have had the opportunity to receive it and form their own thoughts and make their own choices and take their own actions and/or communicate their own thoughts about it. For example, if I chose to say to someone, “I’m going to bake a cake”, then that person would have expected me to bake a cake. I would have created that expectation. I would have created that space for action on my part. If I had said, “I’m going to bring a cake”, all that would matter is that I brought a cake – whether I baked it or bought it would not be an issue.

I chose the cake examples to make a point – we choose what we think about! We make these choices consciously, subconsciously and sometimes even unconsciously (out of conditioned routine). Our thoughts create our reality because our thoughts influence our choices.

To revisit Peter Pan, it’s not so much the idea that we “never, ever, ever (have to) grow up” (which is often the perception of Gemini by other signs, that Gemini is the perpetual child of the Zodiac) as it is that we have the power of creation at our disposal. Creation begins with an idea, an inspiration, an imagining. We are as grown-up or mature, as smart or dumb, as confident or insecure as we choose to be and feel. Our lives are as wonderful or as miserable as we choose to perceive them and choose to act upon them to be. That is the creative power of Gemini – that is the gift of Gemini. It is the gift of the knowledge and understanding that it is our mental energy to have ideas and thoughts and to make choices based upon those ideas and thoughts to create and shape our life experiences.

Look at where Gemini falls in your astrological chart for guidance in how to utilize this energy in your personal life journey. For more information and insights, see the June 2017 Monthly Horoscope for your zodiac sign.

June Horoscope Overview

We made it through Venus retrograde! Hopefully the transit helped you dive deep into weak links in self-esteem, finances, and relationships and to strengthen all of these areas of your life.

The June 2017 horoscope shows that we continue gliding through our open window, free from retrogrades of personal planets and their shadows. This open window continues through July 24 and although there are some spots to watch out for, there is much support for bursting creations out into the world.

Lots of energy in Gemini brings much motion and a match of abundant energy in Cancer brings emotion. Both of these energies bring great support to moving full speed ahead.

Mars, the burly God of War, ruling action, moving through the introspective and emotional sign of Cancer makes me think of a really big and muscular guy with huge hands trying to sit comfortably at a kid-sized table and have a proper tea party. This image also shows the tremendous power of Mars sitting behind the emotions at this time. Keeping emotionally-centered and using emotions as forces for productive forward movement is the key this month.

Even with the awkwardness of this placement and the many conflicts between thinking Gemini and feeling Cancer this month, there are excellent aspects (some of the best in the whole year!) for forward motion in general and much support for travelers, writers (and other prolific expressors), and artists.

  • Look forward to sweet and supportive energies on or near: June 1, 3, 9, 13, 18, 20, 21, 24, 26, and 28.
  • Expect some high and challenging emotions and other challenges on or near: June 3, 4, 15, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, and 29.

June 2017 Highlights:

** Note: often the effects of planetary transits are felt before or after the actual day the transit occurs.

June 1 — Venus in Aries Trine Saturn in SagittariusVenus represents love, beauty, and money. Saturn represents long-term efforts of importance in any area of life and also business ventures. I love this day for locking in anything important under any of these subjects.

June 3 — Venus in Aries Conjunct Uranus in Aries — Surprise in love or money is likely at this time, for better or for worse. It is fantastic for chance meeting with someone with whom you could share love or money magic. By nature of Uranus this meet up tends to fizzle quickly but leave an impression. Because Saturn in great angle with Jupiter just days before this, the possibility that a powerful meeting or occurrence could ground in to become long-term in nature.

June 3 — Sun in Gemini Trine Jupiter in Libra — The June horoscope shows that this aspect can bring fantastic support and expansion to creativity, health, and self-esteem. Jupiter by nature is excessive so there is the chance for expansion with diminishing returns but if some boundaries are set and kept, a beautiful energy for most things.

June 4 — Sun in Gemini Square Neptune in PiscesNeptune in a challenging angle like this can bring confusion or disappointment. Coupled with with the aspect the Sun has the previous day with Jupiter could represent the fear that comes after a wonderful idea or opportunity presents. There is so much great energy this month for moving forward. The likely effect of this line-up of aspects will be to feel the fear, honor the intuition, and do it anyway while taking into consideration protection measures for the venture.

June 9 — Full Moon in Sagittarius — Fullness, completion, fruition, exaltation comes to all things Sagittarius. A beautiful aspect with Uranus brings random support and brilliant ideas and a conjunction with Saturn can brings a reality check but also simultaneous increase in potential of support from authority figure or a stable and wise helper. Travel abounds and communication and expression reaches an all-time high. Long-term ventures are well-supported at this time.

June 9 — Jupiter Direct in Libra — The June astrology points out that this is a time for everyone (especially those with importantly-placed Sagittarius) to rejoice. Jupiter in retrograde definitely is still working to bring expansion and growth but the mood is much less sparkly without in his full power. Increased luck and enthusiasm usually come with this direct movement. Jupiter regaining full strength in its movement through Libra brings a robust focus and expansion of personal relationships.

June 9 — Venus in Taurus Sextile Mars in Cancer — This is a lovely, romantic, sensual, emotional meet-up. Even though Mars isn’t completely comfortable in this sign, it is a great chance for heart-to-heart’s that could open up intimacy and more joy.

June 13 — Mercury in Gemini Trine Jupiter in Libra — The June 2017 forecast shows that this aspect is a true writers (or anyone else who communicates for their work or other expression) delight. I love this time for launches for books, blog sites, or anything else related to the energy of sharing information. As always, these energies blend so beautifully and in such an expanded way, they can be driven to exhaustive excess, but it will be worth the effort to bring things out into the world at this time.

June 15 — Sun in Gemini Opposing Saturn in Sagittarius — Here is more of the tired and scared energy that tends to follow any big expansion. Putting oneself out into the world can be absolutely terrifying. This is a great opportunity to keep your eye on the big vision and ignore any criticism that is not helpful to bringing about the bigger goals.

June 16 — Neptune Retrograde in Pisces — Neptune retrograde is the recluses delight and marks a time when many will find they need more alone time. It is a fantastic time for artists of any medium (words included) to reevaluate their style and go back to some old ways of doing their work that have been lost or changed over time. It is great news for anyone who wants to kick a bad habit or addiction but it can be stressful for those who are in denial about it. An empowering plan includes a raw look at your circumstances and really listening to those who love you in a new way. If people are telling you, “You have a problem with …”, you probably do, and to reach your highest potential it might be time to put your ego aside and do something productive to move past it.

June 18 — Sun in Gemini Sextile Uranus in Aries — This is a magical combination that brings surprise insights or expression. Doing something different is usually supported by this transit.

June 18 — Mercury in Gemini Opposing Saturn in SagittariusSaturn represents the energy of father/father figure/authority in the chart. It is very possible that the urge to express something unique from the transit with the

Sun and Uranus this same day is not supported by someone with a critical eye close to you. The fact that for Americans this is Father’s Day is sort of a cosmic joke. I see the potential for much of the typical gathering for Father’s Day and Dad being super-annoying about something important causing stress and drama. The flip-side to this is that even though parents can be annoying and off-base about many things, kids often find over time that with many things, they were actually right. Very often under the stern exterior of parents there are super-concerned, caring, people who would do anything for their kids. These transits together are a great time to try to find the balance and reach a happy medium. Also note that sometimes this authority energy comes in the form of a very strong Mom who played or co-played the Father role.

June 20 — Venus in Taurus Sextile Neptune in Pisces — I love this combination of grounded Taurus and Venus in its own sign, in a beautiful angle with dreamy Neptune in its own sign. Formless meets form in a wonderful way at this time.

June 20 — Mercury in Gemini Sextile Uranus in Aries — Expression is given a major boost by the lightning strike energy of Uranus. The June horoscope shows that unique ideas and actions gain beautiful support.

June 21 — Sun in Cancer Conjunct Mercury in Cancer — This is a super-sentimental pair-up. Lots of tears are likely either from beautiful heart connections and sharing or feelings feeling and vulnerable or both. It is a beautiful time to connect with family and the feeling side of life.

June 23 — New Moon at almost 3° of Cancer — This emotional New Moon is also opposing Saturn, making a Sextile to Uranus, and Squaring Chiron. Full Moons in water signs tend to pack an enhanced emotional punch but this one as the Moon is full in its own sign, takes the cake. Lots of tears are likely, a potential for happy tears included. The aspects with Saturn and Chiron increase the chance for the bringing up of old wounds but the aspect to Uranus sprinkles in an increased likelihood of a sudden insight that helps to bring healing.

June 24 — Venus in Taurus Trine Pluto in Capricorn — The power of unseen forces become visible as they support financial and relationship efforts.

June 25 — Mars in Cancer Square Jupiter in Libra — Mars moving awkwardly through Cancer reaches a roadblock at this time. Expansion will likely be temporarily held up creating frustration. The energy will move in fits and starts throughout the rest of the month.

June 26 — Mars in Cancer Trine Neptune in Pisces — Movement gets a boost back into a groove with this placement of resonance.

June 27 — Mercury in Cancer Square Jupiter in Libra — Communication gets challenged, especially if it is trying to expand too much too soon.

June 28 — Mercury in Cancer Conjunct Mars in Cancer — Emotions hit another high with this transit. This transit is a temporary accord but there are more challenges ahead.

June 29 — Mercury in Cancer Opposing Pluto in Capricorn — The communication flow of earlier in the month is continuing to hit some major resistance at this time. Try to only make decisions from a clear place during this time.

The Full Moon on June 9, 2017 at 16:09 GMT falls in the the optimistic and buoyant sign sign of Sagittarius. This Full Moon brings events and situations to a culmination from the start of its cycle at the New Moon two weeks ago. What intentions did you send to Spirit during the New Moon time?

New Moons and Full Moons are cosmic portals which pierce through the veil of time and space allowing us to expand our perception beyond the constraints of material 3D reality. The three days prior and three days after a Full Moon are especially potent times for releasing physical, mental and emotional blockages.

Sagittarius is a fire sign and symbolizes Man’s spontaneous quest for knowledge; the spirit of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods in order to enlighten humanity. The sign Sagittarius governs our personal belief systems, our philosophy of life, our spiritual search for the meaning of life…..How do we perceive God and/ or the “God particle”? Is there life on Mars? If so, do they have “souls”?

During any Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are in opposite signs. This month, Sun is in the Air sign, Gemini, and the Moon is in the Fire, sign, Sagittarius. The Fire/Air polarity has a tendency to “speak first and think later”, but this could also trigger the response for a much needed action. Sagittarius tends to be optimistic, adventurous, and good humored most of the time, but can become a vehement opponent when personal beliefs, political beliefs, and religious beliefs are at stake. Sagittarius asks: “Can you walk your talk without forcing others to see it your way?” The shadow side of Sagittarius is fanaticism and dogma.

The June horoscope 2017 points predicts that all this intense planetary energy focused around such an expansive Full Moon makes it perfect for a celebration: gather friends together and have a fire ceremony (bon-fire); share experiences of other cultures and faraway places. This is a great night to deepen wisdom though meditation, chanting, and prayer. Have your group “moon-gaze” under the vast ocean of stars above us. This is the time to step up to the plate not just as a global, but as a “cosmic citizen”.

Once again, remember what you asked to have “seeded” into action on the Gemini New Moon. The Full Moon usually bears results.

New Moon in Cancer

This month we have a New Moon in Cancer on June 24, 2017 at 05.30 GMT.

New Moons are the optimal times to set new intentions. Cancer is the sign of the Great Mother, the feminine archetype par excellence- the primal water sign in charge of the birthing process (including labor pains), the nurturer of family, children, community and country (Even Homeland Security).

Since the birth chart of the U.S. has a Cancerian Sun sign (born on the 4th of July), money, as well as domestic, home and family issues will be a big concern, as both the Sun and Moon will pull this into sharp focus. The U.S. housing “crisis”, as well as the banking and monetary system will be addressed one way or the other…there is no escaping this one.

The Summer Solstice occurs on June 20, 2017, in the Northern Hemisphere. Cancer is the primordial water sign and during this time we are subject to more intense emotions, unconscious projections and psychic phenomenon.

At the Summer Solstice the forms we have manifested since the Winter Solstice in December must now be nourished and provided with supportive structures. In the Great Wheel of the Year, the Summer Solstice celebrates the abundance and fertility of our Mother Earth. It is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere with the most sunlight available. It is a time to enjoy life and celebrate our true lineage as Sons and Daughters of the Light. In the ancient religions as well as indigenous cultures around the globe, the Summer Solstice (Midsummer’s Eve) is regarded as time to pay homage to the God (the sun) in his role as consort to the Great Mother ( the Earth).

The essence of the Cancerian archetype is the Great Mother, the Grail, the “container” of both spiritual and physical growth. The sign of Cancer has long been associated with the Goddess in all her myriad forms of creation, the Moon, the unconscious, the emotional body and the astral/psychic worlds.

Whether you inhabit a male or female body, whether you have a family, or live as a solitary being, you have a connection to the Great Mother. Get in touch with Her through the Earth. The June astrology for 2017 shows that this month is the perfect time to spend some time meditating in nature. Take your crystals into the sunlight and listen to them speak. Smell the green grass and feel the strength of a tree against your back. Listen to the songs of the birds- their sounds hold many codes to expand consciousness. If you have a loved one, invite them to a picnic. Sit on the earth and feel Her energy move through you, as you partake of Her bounty. If you are not in relationship, invite friends, or treat yourself. Give thanks for what you have in your life at this moment, and prepare the way for “the new” to come in.

The New Moon is always a “seeding “time. What would you like to manifest over the next 2 weeks….emotionally? Psychically? Materially? How can you best midwife your own creativity? Are you truly expressing your heart in your most significant relationships? Are you in a satisfied relationship with yourself? Where do you need to release old programming around the feminine? All issues having to do with birth/death, male/female relationships, children and home/security will come up in the news over the next 2 weeks and probably become much more heated before they become resolved: same sex marriage, stem cell research, “octo-moms”, missing/abused children ….

The New Moon being in Cancer means that people with Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) featured in their birth charts are more likely to be affected. Also, if your birthdate falls on or near of the New Moon date, you can expect major changes in the area where is falls in your chart (the house).
