Moon In Pisces

The Moon in Pisces is not a very easy position. You are much more vulnerable to the plight of the poor and downtrodden than those with the Sun here. You tend to have a “sack cloth and ashes” philosophy and yet you are very dependent on a comfortable existence in the real world. You hang between heaven and earth without, in most cases, having a good grasp of either.

Men have had a particularly difficult time with this position. They feel a serious commitment to providing for their families while in most cases, feeling very out of touch with the business world.

Women who become housewives and mothers happily dedicate their lives to their families in most cases. This situation is rapidly changing with the increased awareness of equality and the liberation from archaic sex roles. Even so, this is a painful influence which needs other supportive factors to function meaningfully.

This position of the Moon can indicate a very religious, or in some way mystical or ill-defined childhood. Alcoholism in the home during childhood is also a possibility. In any case, much subtlety must be dealt with.

You will have to learn to deal with vague and intangible elements which contribute to much confusion and misunderstanding which will be difficult to dispel in later years.

DETOUR: needs to learn to create healthy boundaries; may have escapist attitudes; may abuse substances such as alcohol and drugs to achieve altered states and relaxation.
