Runaway Bride By Zodiac Sign
Though it’s normal to get cold feet, most women are conditioned to want to be betrothed. Within society, being married gives us validation even if there is no tangible evidence that married women are any happier. That said, it is the rare bird that flies the coup before the big day. What zodiac signs or aspects can be attributed to this behavior?
Freedom-loving signs such as Aquarius, Aries and Sagittarius need to feel as if they can be themselves in a relationship, and will often go to great lengths to avoid a commitment that doesn’t allow them to come and go as they please.
A woman with a very strong Aquarius or Uranus, for that matter, has a better ability to disassociate from the feelings that brought her and her mate together to begin with. She will be able to “shut off” in order to do what is in the best interest of both she and her partner for the long run.
Although Sagittarius women are less likely to commit to begin with, the reason they may dash at the last minute is a need to be honest with their loved one. They could never live a lie.
Aries women have a need to find themselves, and it will require a great deal of courage to leave; but that could be just what the doctor ordered.
A strong Uranus such as a First or Seventh House placement (especially on the ascendant or the descendant) could indicate an ability to change one’s mind quickly when it comes to marriage, which is usually perceived to cramp one’s freedom.
Uranus likes movement and forward thinking. If an impending marriage is seen by a bride-to-be as stagnation — a square, opposition or conjunction between Uranus and Venus could signal issues.
Another tough angle to reconcile for many women is the square from Mars to Venus (and even stronger in a square from Pluto to Mars) tend to have more confrontation with their partners, making it more likely that the stress leading up to a wedding could spell impending doom.
Hard angles between Pluto and Venus can often signals issues of trust that can come into play if strong Uranus or Aquarius energy is also present.
These are just a few indications in a birth chart of why a woman might elect a different path — and pull a Julia Roberts! (Ironically enough, Julia Roberts who played the title role in Runaway Bride and who notoriously stood up Keifer Sutherland at the altar, has a Venus, Uranus, Pluto conjunction).
