Sagittarius On Seventh House Cusp
Sagittarius in 7th House – Sagittarius on the cusp of the Seventh House
You love to explore and be adventurous…and you love it even more when you have a partner to accompany you on the journey. You don’t enjoy these activities as much when you do them alone. For you, the adventure isn’t in the activity as much as it is in your partner.
You learn about them through the experiences and adventures you share, and you teach them about yourself in the same way. For you, growth and expansion of the knowing and being known by your partner is a crucial element of your partnership – you must be learning from and teaching each other. Without a healthy and passionate exchange of the knowledge and wisdom you each have, you may find the partnership lacks the sparks and fire you crave.
When it comes to partnership with life itself, the location of Sagittarius on this cusp would imply the necessity of a philosophical approach to life. This would be bringing over the qualities of the ninth house where life itself is concerned. This is also the beginning of the non-self, and so self-centeredness is an area to which the Sagittarian should pay much attention in order to remove himself from the self-centeredness of the ego so that it relates more to the mainstream of life.
One of the unfortunate qualities here is that Sagittarius on the cusp of the seventh house does tend to marry from the viewpoint of what marriage has to offer it, often marrying for advantages monetarily and socially. It is also strange that the Sagittarian on the cusp of the seventh house would like to maintain his own sense of freedom within the framework of marriage or any partnership. In many ways, on a high octave, the Sagittarian can be a very true friend to others, can be a very honest partner in business. On a low octave, the Sagittarian would use people for its own advantage and in a business sense, would be involved in a business partnership from the viewpoint of what he could get out of it.
As far as the seventh house is concerned, we are at a position where we are dealing with the identification of self with the Cosmic. Sagittarius would tend to be more of an agnostic, a dis-believer, a skeptic, and yet at the same time, since it does rule the ninth house of religion, could be a very dogmatic religionist. The Sagittarius on the cusp of the seventh house would be one extreme or the other; there would be no shades of gray.
The goal of the seventh house is a union with life itself. Sagittarius on this location tends to find this at a later point in life, after much searching and experimenting in different directions.
It would take him a time to realize that this is, in fact, the goal. There will always be a conflict for the sign of Sagittarius on the cusp of the seventh house, by direct reaction to the first house, of self – seventh house of self as it relates to all of life, the “WE” concept. This is a real struggle for Sagittarius on the cusp of the seventh house. They tend to emphasize the “I” rather than the “WE.”
