How the Sun Signs Respond to a New Sibling
The green-eyed monster of jealousy inevitably rears its head when a new baby arrives home, making older brothers and sisters feel pushed to one side. Handling sibling rivalries requires firmness, tact and an understanding of how best to persuade each Sun sign that the new family member is a friend … not an enemy.
The most jealous zodiac signs
Scorpio needs intense one-to-one contact, so an ensemble family tends to irk them. Give them quality time just with you and they’ll mellow.
Cancer can be persuaded to act as a surrogate parent, which will bring them closer to you and the new baby.
Pisces will hide their hurt about not being so special anymore, but can be quite vengeful behind their sweet smiles. Be patient but firm about everyone sharing.
Taurus may look placid, but co-operation isn’t always easy for them. Give them a special corner that’s exclusively for them.
Most competitive signs
Aries may be rather cheered at the prospect of a combatant playmate but will need to be taught patience until the baby is old enough to engage.
Leo will sulk at being dethroned from its center-of-attention spot. They’ll need ego-boosting ploys to keep them feeling special.
Sagittarius will want to play rather vigorously with the newest member and won’t always be too subtle. So find them fun activities elsewhere.
Ditto Gemini. They need to be given distractions and games to occupy their restless temperaments while you’re otherwise occupied.
The most happiest signs about the new baby
Of all the other signs, Aquarius will be happiest about the new baby. A whole new friend! Their eyes will sparkle at the prospect.
Virgo will be content to rush around giving mom a helping hand.
Capricorn will make it clear there is a pecking order to be maintained with them one notch up. But they’ll be fair-minded and helpful when required.
Libra will be happy if they are the first, but if there are now three or more children, they’ll get confused about too many. Find them a best friend elsewhere if not in the family and they’ll settle.
