Sagittarius & Goal Setting – Destination Unknown

Sagittarius, see that line out there in the distance? That’s the horizon…and if you have the Sun in Sagittarius, the horizon is generally where you will be aiming to get to. But, especially if you are a Sagittarius (or have Sagittarius on the Midheaven), there are so many interesting deviations along the way.

Along the way you may be distracted by islands, mountains, little roads that send you into a village that doesn’t exist on any map you have previously seen, but was so worth the side trip. All of this means that goals- when you can be bothered to make them- become moving targets with a scope that varies widely.

This is so not how the textbooks tell you to do it, but somehow, someway, it very often works. Why? Simply because: It doesn’t occur to you that it won’t. Your faith is such that the glass is always half full and the party always about to start and the plane always about to take off. What can possibly go wrong?

Your optimism is such that everyone around you finds themselves drawn into your dreams. If you are really lucky amongst your followers will be at least one Gemini or one Virgo who can help you grasp the detail.

One of the most wonderful things about Sagittarius is their ability to stay focused on the big picture, but from a goal achievement viewpoint, this is also their most frustrating. In order to achieve, Sag needs to get in touch with his Gemini opposite and check out the details…just enough to every so often make sure that they are on the right flight going to the right destination.
